For many years Christian Science has met my every need. I am very grateful for the understanding of God that has come to me through the study of our two textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Many instances of healing, guidance, protection, and provision in our family have resulted from complete trust in God as All.
Many years ago while I was riding in a public park, my horse bolted. I was thrown violently on the cinder path, rolling over several times and stopping just inches from a large tree. At the time there was a sureness in my thought that because I was God's spiritual image and likeness no injury could possibly occur. I was able to get up immediately, and kept silently declaring the truth of spiritual being to the best of my understanding.
I went home across the city on the bus without assistance and turned to my textbooks earnestly. By that evening I was able to keep an appointment. The next day all pain had disappeared, and I was in church. Within a week the embedded cinders came away, leaving no signs of injury.
