For nine years Christian Science has helped me, and with deep gratitude I am writing this testimony.
A dear aunt, though not a Scientist at the time I needed healing, always watched the television series "How Christian Science Heals." When doctors were unable to help me, she told me to see the Christian Science practitioner who had helped her. Since then, my husband, who does not oppose Christian Science, our three children, who have attended the Sunday School since the age of three, and I have had numerous healings.
After my first visit to the practitioner I knew I was being led in the right direction. I loved reading the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy every possible moment. As I read, many false beliefs and fears melted away. I was healed of a thyroid condition, which had been diagnosed by two doctors who told me I would have to take medicine for it for the rest of my life. I was only twenty-two at the time, and had two children under the age of two years. I was also taking pills for a diabetic condition, and there had been indications of heart trouble. I had much help from the practitioner, especially the first two years. These physical healings were somewhat slower, but the desire to smoke left me quickly. The healing of this habit was so complete that I could not remember when I stopped smoking.
