Love and Accomplishment

From the May 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We want to do worthwhile things; we want to truly accomplish. This is a right desire, and Christian Science can help us fulfill it. This Science makes plain that we have true intelligence and the sense of spiritual power in the degree that we reflect divine Love, for Love is the perfect Mind, the creative intelligence that governs the universe.

Everyone wants to progress. The businessman wants to succeed in business, and all want to have a sense of abundance. But appearances of accomplishment and abundance are often deceptive, and one who seems to succeed in business or to achieve affluence without reflecting divine Love has not really accomplished anything worthwhile. Nor has he gained true riches.

It is right for the student of Christian Science to be successful in whatever he does under God's direction. It is right for him to have abundance of supply. But these blessings can come to him through Christian Science only as he is fitted to receive them. Truly to progress, truly to have a sense of abundance, he must reflect divine Love, for Love is Mind, the source of true intelligence and good.
