I have known Christian Science for several years. It has put a spiritual beauty into my daily life and helped me surmount my petty problems. But now I wish to testify to the support I found in this Science in an hour of trial.
A little more than two years ago, my husband passed on suddenly. Faced with this grave misfortune, I found myself confused and stunned, experiencing all the distressing feelings such a parting provokes. To this was added anxiety for the future and fear of lack, for I found myself alone, having scant resources for defraying the rather heavy expenses.
At the time of life when one is generally free from the obligation of earning one's living, I had to go to work. The urgency of the expenses forced me to accept an arduous kind of work I had never done before, and for which I was far from being prepared. Then Christian Science showed me all its incomparable value as an effective help. It was then, too, that my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy increased for the teachings she has given us in Christian Science.
