Having been under the care of medical doctors almost constantly for ten years previous to this and having undergone major surgery twice, I was left to depend upon injections every two weeks, one for anemia and another thought to be vital to my well-being. The belief was that twenty years had been cut from my life-span.
We knew little about Christian Science. We lived in a small town where there was no Church of Christ, Scientist, but there were a few families known to believe in it. It was said they did not believe in the use of medicine.
