Church in Action News and announcements

From a college student in Illinois:

From the December 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"My first year at college had many ups and downs. My second year turned from bad to worse. Everything seemed wrong. I thought of quitting.

"Then one night a (Christian Science) Campus Counselor stopped by my dorm. During the brief conversation he invited me to visit him the next time he was on campus. I hadn't gone to see him my first year because I didn't know what to say to him. But because he invited me and because of the warmth and love I felt, I went.

"I don't remember now what we talked about, but I left that room happier than I had been in months. The next month I visited him again, this time with several questions. Again I left feeling inspired. This went on for the rest of the year. I never missed his visits, and each time I came with questions. Sometimes I didn't like his answers, but I always tried them, and the results were wonderful.
