Ecology and the Science of Life

From the December 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Pollution. Overpopulation. Exploitation of natural resources. While human beings and their governments do well to ask themselves whether they are being motivated by greed, irresponsibility, and short vision, the essential problem is the persistent physical view of man and his environment that lies behind these attitudes.

Christian Science, the Science of Life, puts forward an entirely different concept of man and the universe.

It teaches that God, Life, is the only origin of all existence, and that consequently the real man is 100 percent spiritual. And so is his environment, which is also made and maintained by divine Life. Man is safe and permanent, for he is the reflection of eternal, self-perpetuating Mind.
