Book Friends for Children

From the December 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

To meet a recognized need .... To reach young people with spiritual ideas in language and pictures they understand .... To show that Christian Science works in actual childhood and teen experiences.

These are some of the reasons new children's literature is being prepared and published by The Christian Science Publishing Society.

Much planning and research, including face-to-face contacts with children, educators, and authors, produced clear guidelines for a program of youth publications. These publications give young people from preschool through college examples of how Christian Science meets human situations and brings healing. And they provide parents with some ideas for spiritual communication to help them educate their children.
