The Herald in Braille

From the April 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Thousands of people read with their fingers. For their benefit The Christian Science Publishing Society prepares two publications in Braille: The Herald of Christian Science and the Christian Science Bible Lessons.

These books are available at low cost. The Braille Herald is the same price per copy as the Christian Science Sentinel. The Braille equivalent of the Christian Science Quarterly is a large book published monthly, containing the full text of the citations from the Bible and Science and Health comprising the weekly Lesson-Sermons. Yet a year's subscription to it costs the same as for the small standard Quarterly in print. Anyone who is familiar with the handsome Braille publications must quickly realize that they are generously subsidized by The Mother Church.

This provision means a great deal to those who desire to study Christian Science and to increase their spiritual vision of God and His universe, but who, for the moment, are unable to make use of the books and periodicals that are printed in ink. One woman writes, "Thank you for the Braille periodicals. They are a source of joy and guidance to me."
