In May, 1966, some form of malady seemed to overwhelm me, and I appeared to be getting thinner and thinner. Despite much good, prayerful work by my wife and encouragement from friends, the condition seemed to persist.
Christian Science teaches that the acceptance in our minds of the fact that we are God's image and likeness proves the statement (I John 3:2): "Now are we the sons of God."
Although I knew that the above statement is true, I could not make myself realize the unreality of the condition of illness. There was no pain, and I had no medical diagnosis of the condition, but I had a terrific thirst that seemingly could not be assuaged. This condition lasted for months. Strange to say, I was not fearful. I enjoyed my study of Christian Science, fulfilled my period of three years as a branch church board member, and persisted in the thought, "All is well."
