CHURCH IN ACTION News and Announcements.

To meet a growing need

From the July 1973 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Interest in Christian Science is expanding noticeably in Portuguese and Spanish-speaking areas of the world, especially in Latin America. Happily, The Mother Church can tangibly respond to this growing interest.

Beginning in October, 1973, the Portuguese and Spanish editions of The Herald of Christian Science will be increased in size and be published monthly. In addition to a greater number of metaphysical articles, editorials, children's stories, and testimonies in Spanish and Portuguese, each monthly issue will reflect an increased effort to make it more relevant to the needs of the areas where it is being sent.

In announcing this change, The Christian Science Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society encourage Reading Rooms and branch church members where there are Portuguese and' Spanish-speaking people to prayerfully consider ways to share these two editions and expand their readership.
