One's concept of life determines how he thinks and acts. It can seem to control his health, his environment, and even his supply. Without life there is no activity; therefore to understand the nature of life becomes of paramount importance to all of us.
Real life is a power and a force, spiritual in nature, vital and strong in action. It is a state of order that unfolds eternally in man and the universe. Not only is God the source of all life, but God is Life.
When Life is understood as a synonym for God, unvarying Principle is set forth, for in Christian Science we also learn that God is Principle. Principle, Life, is inviolable, unerring, divinely law-abiding, including no illegal activity of evil in the form of disease and death. Mrs. Eddy writes, "The rule and its perfection of operation never vary in Science." 1
