The Power and Force of Life

One's concept of life determines how he thinks and acts. It can seem to control his health, his environment, and even his supply. Without life there is no activity; therefore to understand the nature of life becomes of paramount importance to all of us.

Real life is a power and a force, spiritual in nature, vital and strong in action. It is a state of order that unfolds eternally in man and the universe. Not only is God the source of all life, but God is Life.

When Life is understood as a synonym for God, unvarying Principle is set forth, for in Christian Science we also learn that God is Principle. Principle, Life, is inviolable, unerring, divinely law-abiding, including no illegal activity of evil in the form of disease and death. Mrs. Eddy writes, "The rule and its perfection of operation never vary in Science." Science and Health, p. 149;
