My last testimony appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel, February 3, 1940.
After leaving the Christian Science Sunday School, having reached the age of twenty, I applied and was accepted for Christian Science class instruction. I am very grateful for those two weeks of invaluable teaching following Sunday School, for they served to further base my life on the inspired Word of the Scriptures and gave me a practical understanding of Christian Science and a love and an appreciation for its Discoverer and Founder, Mrs. Eddy.
I have kept a list of healings that my family and I have had over the years. The healings have not been dramatic, but then, Christian Science is preventive as well as curative (see Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, 369:23-26). The list includes healings of loneliness, hives, a sprained ankle, measles, dog bites, toothache, neuralgia, colds, ivy poisoning, tonsillitis, as well as help in finding employment, the development of courage, instances of protection, and guidance for new adventures while we were traveling in the United States, Europe, and Asia, including the Orient.
