It's not unusual for members to write, sometimes after a few months, sometimes after many years, telling how joining The Mother Church has changed their lives. The following excerpts are from letters, some translated, sent in recent months by members in Germany, Indonesia, and the United States.
"In November 1976, I was admitted into membership in The Mother Church. It is not until now that I write my thoughts of gratitude and love for The Mother Church.
"When I first entered a Reading Room to inquire—it was after having seen a television series on Science—I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of kindness and love. I am still overwhelmed by the beauty, symmetry, and harmony that Christian Science embodies."
