Healing through acknowledging truth

Through acknowledging what is already, unalterably true of God and His spiritual idea, man, we become responsive to the healing power of divine Truth. We're encouraged to press on until a trouble is completely healed.

Disease or deformity, even if called incurable, is an illusion of material sense. It is unreal, powerless, having no cause or law. God, almighty good, is the only power, the only cause, and as God's idea, man is governed only by His law of perpetual good.

Denial of the validity of discord is important. It helps to allay fear and thus increase our receptivity to spiritual ideas from divine Mind. There are times, however, when a simple acknowledgment of a spiritual verity has resulted in immediate healing. Mrs. Eddy writes, "The spiritual power of a scientific, right thought, without a direct effort, an audible or even a mental argument, has oftentimes healed inveterate diseases."  Rudimental Divine Science, p. 9;
