"Be not dismayed"

From the August 1979 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When the heart calls out for release from the trials of mortal existence, is there a way out? Yes, a knowledge of God reveals a constant, sustaining, divine presence that gives us courage and strength and brings healing.

The resources of divine Love, when sought out and cultivated, release us from pressure: they fill the human need. Such is the recurrent theme of the Bible. The book of Isaiah records this divine message: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isa. 41:10;

The presence of God is greater than any phase of error or evil, and this fact is practical in demonstration. Toward the end of his triumphant ministry, Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, could say, "Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33;
