My last testimony was published in December 1955 in the Journal. The healings mentioned have been permanent. Since then there have been so many blessings that my acknowledgment of and gratitude for God's continuous care, through an understanding of Christian Science, are long overdue.
While we are aware that God's love is present at all times and for all of His children, sometimes unwillingness to accept this fact hampers our ability to utilize His power fully. A recent experience has alerted me to claim my sonship with God consistently and seek His guidance first.
About two years ago my daughter and I were visiting a country in the Far East— one that we had once lived in. We loved this country but had had to leave it ten years before. My desire now was to resume contacts and visit familiar places. The first day there being Sunday, I went back to the branch Church of Christ, Scientist, of which I had formerly been a member. I was warmly welcomed by old friends, some of whom I had once taught in Sunday School. And I stayed with a friend I had met in that church thirty years before.
