One of the most comprehensive and challenging demands of the Science of being is the demand to become cognizant of who you genuinely are. To find yourself in this way means to find answers to many questions.
Fundamental, intelligent, and logical answers to all questions concerning man may be found in the Bible through the study of Christian Science. The Bible is the divine message of God to all mankind. There God is revealed as the great I am, and man as created in His image and likeness. Mrs. Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health: "Christian Science, rightly understood, leads to eternal harmony. It brings to light the only living and true God and man as made in His likeness; whereas the opposite belief—that man originates in matter and has beginning and end, that he is both soul and body, both good and evil, both spiritual and material—terminates in discord and mortality, in the error which must be destroyed by Truth." Science and Health, p. 338.
If one studies the Bible and Science and Health with a sincere and honest desire to learn of God and man, one can find his needs met spiritually, physically, and morally. From this study, the truth of man's being as God's reflection will be unfolded. We cannot predict at what point each person will begin to develop this spiritual awareness. But it will come to each and every one at some time. Logical and intelligent reasoning will be enhanced during this search for knowledge. With growing spiritual understanding, one will find answers to his questions regarding identity.
