THE CHURCH IN ACTION

ACTION IN THE FIELD

From the September 1984 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The following comments are taken from letters to The Mother Church from Christian Scientists who have been actively involved in Christian Science organizations. Their experiences vary. But in each case it's clear that participation in an organization hasn't been an onerous duty, but a privilege that has made a living difference to those writing.

I am very grateful for the provision for college orgs. They are not little stepping-stones between Sunday School and church as I pictured them upon high-school graduation, but each org is truly a full-fledged privilege of [the Christian Scientist] who is also an academician, with its own set of responsibilities and—in my experience— rich rewards.
