Seeing the all

From the September 1984 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Let go of memories
mired in pain:
perplexities that neither time
nor reason can explain,
the guilt of long ago
still piercing present days,
or leaded grief that hovers
in the mortal haze.

For Love dissolves and cleans
the slate of misled years;
it lifts the timid heart
and dries frustrated tears.
Release your grasp from magnets
of the withered scene
and feel the warmth of Christliness
that fosters life serene
until you see the all of God's domain—
then nothing but His good remains.
