How greatly church membership has blessed me! I have been a member of The Mother Church for over forty years, and have served for a number of years in almost every capacity in my branch church.
Following Christian Science class instruction, I went on to become a Christian Science graduate nurse. Prior to taking the Nurses Training Program, I decided to sell my house. So I had a local realtor advertise it and I also requested the prayerful support of a Christian Science practitioner. As a result of the prayer, I realized that divine Mind—the God of all—was governing all; and therefore that buyer and seller would be brought together by the divine law of supply and demand. This meant to me that there was no need for many lookers to be coming and going. I fully expected quick, harmonious results.
Some time later, as I was washing off the walks to the house, I clearly felt the impulsion to put up the "For Sale" sign. I stopped my work and did so at once. Soon another realtor came along, saw the sign, and asked if she could come in and look through the house. I agreed and took her through myself.
