Poems

Present witnesses

From the February 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

No error ever permeated now.
Its stale insinuations
will always be too late.
Truth, yesterday was,
today is, and will be ever.
And ever is always
permanently now.

(I am supplants I was)

What glad assurance!
Perfect wholeness now . . .
. . . and now . . .
and now . . .
untouched by time,
mortality, or sin.
Translated from warped-time
into light-entire eternity,
this now. . . unworlds us.
God's sons and daughters
(immeasurably free)
. . . are. . .
present witnesses of
the eternal power and grace.
