How grateful we can be for the infinite laws of Life, Truth, and Love. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health, "There is a law of God applicable to healing, and it is a spiritual law instead of material."Science and Health, p. 463. When we're faced with a situation that needs healing, there's a specific law of divine Love that can heal it!
Healing occurs as an individual gains some realization of the fact of divine Love's allness and goodness operating everywhere through all time and space and embracing man and the universe in total, unchanging harmony.
Christ Jesus' healing work certainly exemplifies his clear understanding that divine Love is forever governing and caring for man. He knew that the law of God is always present to heal—and heal immediately. The Bible indicates that when Jesus was about his healing mission, the cures were instantaneous. After he had spoken to a man afflicted with leprosy, the Bible tells us, "Immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed." See Mark 1:40-42. In another case a blind man petitioned Jesus for healing, and the Bible says: "Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God." See Luke 18:35-43.
