We read in the Bible (I Pet. 2:9), "Ye are a chosen generation . . .; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light." I would like to share two early healings through which I have experienced God's "marvellous light."
When I was a young child my parents moved to California for health reasons. My father had pneumonia, and the family doctor recommended that he move to a warmer climate. My mother had been ill for some time. She had suffered a miscarriage just before we moved, and a physician had told her that she would probably be an invalid and could have no more children.
Soon after our move we got in touch with a loved relative, whose wife was a Christian Science practitioner. She asked my parents if they would care to try Christian Science for healing. My mother asked the practitioner to pray for her. She was healed, and in time a baby brother joined our family. Meanwhile, my father became interested in this Science and asked for treatment. He, too, was healed, and both parents became earnest students of Science. Later, a baby sister completed our family. My parents enjoyed full and happy lives and lived to enjoy their grandchildren.
