A verse in our loved King James Bible...

From the February 1986 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A verse in our loved King James Bible urges us (Ps. 66:8), "O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard." Words could never adequately express the inspiration and wonderful good that have come to me through reading the testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals. This Science has richly blessed my life, enlivening it and making it full of light and joy, giving it a dimension far beyond what is seen on the surface.

I have experienced many marvelous healings and would like to share one here, the blessings from which have never ceased and continue to grow. At one point I became very ill. I was experiencing excruciating pain in many joints of my body and was paralyzed from the waist down and extremely weak. Although a fine Christian Science practitioner was helping me through prayer, I seemed to become progressively worse.

I decided to dismiss the practitioner who was helping me and call another Christian Science practitioner. In fact, it was necessary for my mother, who was staying with us at the time to help care for our four young children (the youngest was just two), to call him for me, since I couldn't get to the phone. She reported that he would be glad to help.
