Testimonies of Healing

When our branch church congregation...

From the April 1987 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Come let us sing,
Praising our God and our King,
Should we be silent? Ah, never.

When our branch church congregation sang these words from Hymn No. 283 in the Christian Science Hymnal recently, I realized that while I had often testified at Wednesday evening testimony meetings to the healing power of Truth, I had been "silent" in print. So this testimony is to praise God for the decades of good that have been mine through the study of Christian Science.

I am a third-generation Christian Scientist, and while I have appreciated what a precious gift my parents gave me in raising me in Science, I know that we must each make Christian Science our own— study and demonstrate its divine Principle for ourselves. This was made clear to me at the time our younger son was born.
