Healings achieved through study of the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy have helped to make God a living reality to me, rather than a far-off miracle worker. As a student of Christian Science, I'm so grateful for the many wonderful ways God proves Himself to be a loving Father-Mother, constantly blessing all of us, His children.
I'll always be grateful for my mother, whose innate spirituality led her to Christian Science. When she was just a young girl, she told her own mother she felt she would never find God in the church the family attended and wished not to go again. My grandmother said she did not have to go, and that ended the church affiliation.
Christian Science entered Mother's life through my father, who had a slight knowledge of it through a family member. Though they attended Sunday services at a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, only for a while, they felt the goodness of Science, my mother has since told me, and later enrolled my sister and me in a Christian Science Sunday School while we were quite young.
