For more than thirty-five years I have relied entirely on Christian Science for healing. As a teen-ager I was introduced to Science by a young man who later became my husband. The Christliness and outreaching love and joy expressed by his family stirred in me a desire to know more about this teaching to which they were so devoted.
Mrs. Eddy's answer to the question "What is God?" given on page 465 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures answered satisfactorily the questions I had asked various Sunday School teachers. Instead of considering God a manlike super being, I began to think of Him in terms of these synonyms: Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love.
During the ensuing years, my husband and I had six children, and each birth was harmonious. In every case I returned home a few hours after the birth with no aftereffects. When it was evident our fourth child's birth was near, I went to the hospital and preparations were made.
