Christian Science has given my life great enlightenment and enrichment. Rearing two children in this Science has brought joy, right relationships, and wonderful solutions to problems. Both of them are now rearing their own families in the Christian Science way of life, and their families are happy, healthy, and productive.
One immediate challenge that faced me after my husband's passing was that of a need for sufficient income. We had put virtually all we had, except for our home, into a new business my husband was starting, and there was nothing I could recover. I had been for some time a public practioner of Christian Science, and I knew now that I must expect this expression of God's healing power to care for me totally.
The experiences of Elijah and Elisha, who healed widows of lack, came to mind, including this statement (I Kings 17:16): "The barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah." And so the divine law of abundance has been proved in my life. For nearly twenty years now, the opportunities to demonstrate the healing power of Christian Science have expanded and enriched me bountifully. These blessings have come in exact proportion to my honest acknowledgment that the divine Mind, not matter, is my Principle, source, and substance.
