I have always felt deep love for God and the Bible, fostered by early and regular attendance in Christian Science Sunday Schools. I have been a member of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, since 1982 and of The Mother Church since 1983. In the relatively few years since these progressive steps were taken, my life has been filled daily with innumerable blessings.
A physical healing that occurred early in my study of Science involved the elbow of one arm, which was accidentally injured by my teammate during a racquetball class. The pain was so intense that the pressure produced by even holding a pencil to write caused discomfort. That night my prayers before retiring included forgiving my teammate. In the morning, while I was making my bed, I heard a loud snapping noise as something moved back into place. I have had no further difficulty with the arm.
At one time I received a number of obscene telephone calls. I obtained a case number from the police. The phone company informed me of my phone service options. But I was also told that since these calls are usually random, there were no options which would prevent the possibility of my receiving obscene phone calls at some point in the future.
