Are you seeing the "grander view"?

From the February 1993 issue of The Christian Science Journal

On a clear day, as you cross a large lake to the east of the city where I live, you can see the city skyline on the horizon. It seems a wide expanse and a very long way, and yet you're aware that your vision is limited by the horizon and that there is much beyond this that you're unable to see.

When we're faced with a challenge in our lives, our approach may be compared with the thought process described above. We try to see the long view, think expansively, and consider all the options available, but we're limited by our earthbound perspective.

Although, from this perspective, the material scenario may seem impressive and all-encompassing, and its answers may sometimes seem wondrous and novel, through the study and practice of Christian Science it becomes clear that there is a whole world beyond, above, actually in place of, what we can conceive of through even the most advanced human reasoning.
