AN ACCOUNT OF CHRISTIAN HEALING TODAY

God's love triumphs over every challenge

From the February 1993 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Almost everywhere we look in today's world, adversity and difficulty confront us. They may come as discordant family relationships, unemployment, homelessness, or sickness. We can think of such problems as ordeals—or as opportunities for great spiritual growth.

When adversity confronts you, how do you respond? Do you panic and make rash decisions? Do you turn to God for solutions and healing? Christian Science is revealing to mankind that for genuine, lasting dominion over any discord, ultimately, there is no other place to turn but to God, the source of all good.

When one is faced with adversity, the greatest comfort one can experience is to, in a manner of speaking, "nestle" in the arms of God, divine Love. So many who have faced adversity in its extremity, and have trusted the power of God, have found physical healing as a result. Spiritual healing forever changes one's outlook, indeed one's whole life; everything takes on a brighter and fresher view.
