Several years ago, my husband and I decided to sell our house in California and move to the East Coast. Our main motive was to offer spiritual and moral support to family members there. Since this was a prayerful decision, I expected the necessary elements involved in the move would take place speedily. Uppermost in my thought was a statement Mrs. Eddy wrote in Science and Health: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." Despite a realtor's prediction that it would take five or six months to sell the house, this took place in less than three months. Finalizing the details of leaving our community was smooth and happy.
These events reinforced my conviction that the move was indeed based on trustworthy, spiritual ideas from God. I felt His loving arms around everyone involved.
Problems we did encounter were solved prayerfully. When we found a house in the new location, complex negotiations with the owner, who was traveling abroad, were resolved. Because the realtor is a Christian Scientist, I'm sure her knowledge of spiritual truth helped us. Through her good work we were able to have occupancy of our new home just a few days after we arrived with our belongings in a rental moving van.
