Science and Health meets . . . the bookstores of Reno, Nevada

From the November 1994 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In the September Journal, attorney Robert C. Vanderet urged Christian Scientists "to be comfortable with your own faith, and be comfortable with sharing it with others. "Last month we saw evidence that the United States Congress is listening to the voices of reason questioning the federal government's intrusion into individuals' and states' rights in the realm of religious freedom. In this issue we hear from two people who, in their individual ways, are breaking through the "comfort barrier" by presenting Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy to bookstores in their communities.

New occasions
teach new duties. . ."

Although Reno wasn't one of the initial target cities designated to promote the Christian Science textbook this fall, we wanted to introduce our Leader and her book to our city by contacting bookstore owners. After talking this over with the Publisher of Mary Baker Eddy's writings, I began to prepare prayerfully for this activity.
