I have been blessed by Christian Science all of my life, but have never submitted written thanks for the blessing. I have had many healings by holding to the spiritual truths learned in Sunday School, in Christian Science class instruction, and in daily study of the Christian Science Bible Lessons. These healings have involved colds, flu, anxiety, relationship conflicts at work, lack, grief, and athlete's foot, to mention a few.
The most recent healing, and a most outstanding one in terms of the speed with which it came, was one of a growth on my eyelid. When I thought something was in my eye, I asked a friend who is not a Christian Scientist to look and see if an eyelash was stuck in it. Although there did appear to be a lash, which was removed, the eye still bothered me quite a bit, and each time I blinked I could feel a scratching sensation.
When the same friend noted that there was some sort of growth and said I should have it looked at, I was never for a moment afraid or upset about the condition. I held to the fact that I was the perfect idea of God and unable to manifest anything other than His perfect harmony. I kept knowing this to be spiritual law, trusting that I had to manifest perfection as a reflection of God. Just as addition requires us to put mathematics into action, so the law of God requires one to realize it for himself or herself.
