An idea of God

From the October 1995 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am an idea of God—in Mind, in Love.
Therefore, what will I do today?
Can I do a thoughtless deed
Or limit His grace to all?
I can only express the love of my Maker.
I move in the substance of Love.

I am an idea in Mind, in Soul.
Then, what will I be today?
Will I play the clown or fool?
How can I be less than
The image of highest good?
God said "I AM THAT I AM." Ex. 3:14.
So, reflecting Him, I am Godlike, whole.

I am an idea in Mind, in Truth.
What shall I say today?
Shall I weave mere beliefs of every hue,
A world of my own making?
His work is done. I will know His Word;
I will speak of this,
All-harmonious and free.

I am an idea in God's, Principle's, creation.
What will I make today?
"The Son can do nothing of himself,
But what he seeth the Father do." John 5:19.
So Jesus taught.
God's work is finished. I shall praise it,
Reflect His perfect being,
Give thanks, and bless His name.
