Office of the Manager, Christian Science Committees on Publication

Correcting misconceptions of Christian Science—the work of every member

From the April 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Last September, one hundred and thirty-one Christian Scientists who serve as Christian Science Committees on Publication in thirty-two countries attended a conference of Committees on Publication in London, England.

Here are excerpts from a presentation given at the conference by M. Victor Westberg, Manager of Committees on Publication, and BlancheE. White, Manager of Operations in the Committee on Publication Office.

Blanche White: Mary Baker Eddy established the Committee on Publication as an activity of The Mother Church. Therefore, our work with the worldwide Committee family could be said to be part of the "mothering" of The Mother Church. How does The Mother Church "mother"? We went to the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings for a spiritual sense of what good mothering really is.
