"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" (I Cor. 2:9). So we read in the Bible. I am happy to relate two instances when this assurance was manifested in my experience.
In the 1960s my husband and I were preparing to serve in the Christian Science pavilion at the New York World's Fair. It was our custom to study the Bible Lesson each morning and follow it with prayer to know that God directs our lives according to His plan.
I had been asked to serve as a translator to or from Spanish if the need arose, so it seemed wise to take a refresher course at a college in Mexico prior to going to New York. After signing up for the course, I wrote to The Mother Church to find out whether there were any students of Christian Science in the city. The reply from Boston was that to their knowledge there were none.
