SPIRITUAL HEALING as practiced in Christian Science is based on the Scriptural depiction of man as made in the likeness, the very image, of God.
See Gen. 1:26, 27. Reasoning in this Science, we conclude that only a perfect man—whole, healthful, harmonious, invulnerable—could be the outcome of a perfect God. The premise of Christian Science healing, then, is that disease is curable through a reasoned spiritual conviction of man's normal, God-given wholeness. Healing is, in effect, finding out that real identity has no frailty, no impairment, because God, its source, has no frailty, no impairment.
Scriptural healing acknowledged God as cause and creator.
The many healings related in the Scriptures take on new meaning when considered as indications of the power of thought aligned with God as the sole cause and creator. Christ Jesus' works are the prime example.
