FROM THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

NEW APPOINTMENT

From the April 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Hazel Joynes, C.S.B., as Committee on Publication for the counties in which London, England, is situated and as District Manager of the Committees on Publication for Great Britain and Ireland. She succeeds our dear friend Alan Grayson, who passed on recently after serving in the post for five years.

Mrs. Joynes is a lifelong Christian Scientist. She has been in the public practice of Christian Science for eighteen years, and a teacher of Christian Science since 1991. Recently, she served as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

Mrs. Joynes has also been a contributing editor to the Christian Science periodicals and has been interviewed many times on the Christian Science Sentinel — Radio Edition. Her branch church experience has included service as First Reader, Board Chairman, and Sunday School superintendent. She has spoken extensively about Christian Science to community groups, and more recently on television.

We are grateful for Mrs. Joynes's loving devotion to Christian Science and the Church of Christ, Scientist.
