COMMENTARY & REVIEW

How can you heal consistently?

From the March 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Contributing editor Mark Swinney discusses what we can learn from Jesus about healing with consistency through spiritual means.

Almost any place you travel in the world, you will find people working with all their hearts to cure illness. These selfless efforts are doing much good, yet those involved day to day in this work know that good intentions are often simply not enough. When will we be able to heal those who need our help consistently and with confidence? Is it out of line to ask God to help us heal each other?

The kind of expansive thinking that seeks to understand the possibilities of divine healing is becoming more and more common today. There is a growing willingness to explore what, until recently, was usually considered to be unconventional treatment.
