My husband and I met while working in the same business. We fell in love and decided to marry. The union was harmonious for quite a while; however, very serious problems then began to appear. After some time, we entered into divorce proceedings, and a separation came about. I went to live near my parents in a city many miles away.
I became miserable, with many thoughts of recrimination. This utter misery wreaked havoc with my health, and each day various ailments began appearing. One Sunday I suggested to my mother that we attend the little Church of Christ, Scientist, that was nearby, which we did. After the service, I met a lady who soon became a friend. She was a Christian Science practitioner. At my request, she began praying for me, to heal the unhappy state I was in. Soon I joined this church and began working in the Reading Room. Soon I was very much at peace, and the unhappiness and illness began to fade.
One night the phone rang, and to my joy it was my husband.
