Be ready to heal

As with other disciplines, healing takes practice.

From the November 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Preparation is Key to Success. The phenomenally successful champion golfer Tiger Woods told on television how much he thinks about his game—countless hours, day and night. He mentally goes over his shots and tries to learn from previous experience. Above all, he practices constantly.

There's always more about God to learn and put into practice.

To be sure, I'm no super athlete, but I find Tiger's example instructive nonetheless. For me, working as a Christian Science healer calls for as much study and thought as that required of any dedicated athlete or musician. The need to grow in my understanding of God's infinite goodness, and of the spiritual relationship that each of us has to God as His idea, never ends. There's always more about God to learn and put into practice.
