Letters & Conversations

LETTERS

From the November 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I really am not looking forward to your dispersal of testimonies throughout the Journal. [The testimony section is] where I turn when I need a quick dose of inspiration.... I don't have the time or the inclination to track them down. ,

I love the spontaneity our Leader provides in the Manual of The Mother Church for Wednesday evening meetings, which provide time for "experiences, testimonies, and remarks on Christian Science" (p. 122). The September Journal will echo this natural flow of complementary elements when testimonies sent in by those healed in Science are to be sprinkled among the articles and editorials. I will definitely benefit from this new practice, investigating more articles, editorials, and testimonies.

I am writing to express my gratitude for the beautiful and inspirational articles found in the July issue, "Religious freedom—for everyone." It is so great to see that Christian Science is actively engaging in ecumenical affairs. God truly is universal, and God as our ever-present Father-Mother can be embraced by anyone and found in every faith. Thank you for the countless healing words found in all Christian Science literature.
