Thanksgiving church services

Thursday, November 22, in the United States

From the November 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Many churches and synogogues around the world hold regular gratitude services. Each year, the Christian Science Bible Lesson offers selected readings from the Bible and Science and Health on the topic of thanksgiving. While giving thanks is appropriate at any time, in the United States of America, this Lesson is read in Christian Science churches at a special service on Thanksgiving Day, which falls this year on Thursday, November 22.

A list of Christian Science churches can be found at the back of this magazine. In most cases, the time of the Thanksgiving service is the same as that of the Sunday service.
