ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO I was taking my daily walk. When I came to a fence, I started to jump over as I usually did, but I only made it part way and slammed down against the fence and fell to the cement walk. I sat on the cement a few minutes, praying. I declared what was true about my real identity as God's child. Shortly afterward, I was able to reach home.
Although the pain in my side and chest was still severe, I decided I was not going to be afraid.
I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. She prayed for me, and gave me wonderful ideas from the Bible and Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy to thinkabout. This was one of the statements: "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action" (p. 454).
