Healing of tumor during pregnancy

From the June 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being" (Ps. 104:33). I have been so inspired by the testimonies of others over the years that it just isn't right to withhold my own praise and gratitude for the many ways in which God has taken care of me, and for the many ways that I have learned to know Him better.

God was my best friend when work hours were so long there was very little opportunity for social life. And when I began to have a yearning for a permanent life companion, I could say to myself with true contentment that I was wedded to God. After that, I met a man who was searching, just as I was, to know God better. We married, and have been so grateful to see how God works out every detail for the good of everyone.

I had been told that I would not be able to carry a child through a complete pregnancy to delivery. After a miscarriage, we prayed to overcome our grief, and we felt the comfort of God's love. We decided that we needed to let God arrange our lives. After that decision we had a wonderful feeling that we were already a complete family just as we were. Soon I found that I was pregnant again. Our baby was delivered at home by my husband. The birth was so quick that the doctor simply could not get there in time.
