Soldiers of peace

From the June 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

If you and I aspire to be
soldiers of peace,
we must ask God for humility,
shun self-assertiveness,
let Christly love confront the foe.
Living the truths Christ Jesus taught
is waging battles God's own way.
It brings us strength from Him;
we keep our peace for Christ's dear sake,
achieve a victory angry thought cannot.
We quiet conflict
through our Godlike nature
triumphantly proved.
