My husband and I met while we were in the armed forces during the Second World War. We fell in love and had 53 extremely happy years together. Neither of us was brought up in Christian Science. My mother was the first to become interested in it, and through reading Science and Health had a wonderful healing of asthma and bronchitis, from which she had suffered from earliest childhood.
My husband and I then became interested in Christian Science and found it invaluable in bringing up our four children. Our problems and sorrows were met through the application of its teachings and our support of each other. When he passed on, I remembered a resolve I had made earlier not to waste precious time in mourning, as Life is eternal, and my husband would continue to express the same great integrity, love, and humour that he always had.
More love was expressed toward me than I had ever experienced before.
