October 24, 1880, to Ellen L. Clark:

"I am delighted to hear you say the book
feeds you. I know it is full of Life and
health for all, because it is full of Truth.
I am constantly in receipt of letters telling
me it is healing the sick."—L04659

January 1881, to James Ackland:

"I am at work every moment I can get ...
on my book. Am writing it all over making
it as direct an instructor as I can."—L10641

August 4, 1904, from William B.
Johnson to Mary Baker Eddy:

"A year after the present church edifice
was built you approved of selling the
Christian Science literature in the church
on Sundays .... Will you kindly let the
Directors know if you still approve."

Mary Baker Eddy's response:

"I approve of selling the Books of God,
such as the Bible etc, whenever you
